Krzysztof "Chris" Polaczenko, born in 1987 in Świdnica, Poland, is a multi-faceted artist known for his dark and surreal paintings. He has been creating art for most of his life, combining various techniques like acrylics, oils, and watercolor pencils within a single piece, though he has more recently focused primarily on acrylics. Polaczenko's work draws inspiration from his observations of the world, often exploring contemporary issues, inner dilemmas, and burning emotions through symbolic, dreamlike compositions. His intricate and detailed canvases have been featured in exhibitions and are held in private collections in both Poland and abroad.
Beyond his visual art, Polaczenko is a published author and a multi-instrumentalist musician. In 2014, he published the thriller novel Wanna ("Bathtub"), followed by the experimental horror novel Mniedźwiedzi głos ("Bear Me Voice") in 2022. As a musician, he has released five solo albums under the project horiso and performs with the rap-metal band RAF – Myself to the end. This wide-ranging creative output reflects a deep artistic impulse that manifests across different mediums, exploring the human experience from multiple perspectives.
