Justin Hampton

Justin Hampton is a rock poster artist, illustrator, and designer who rose to prominence in Seattle's Grunge era of the 1990s and has since become internationally recognized for his powerful artwork. Influenced by pop culture, street art, and comic book artists like Jack Kirby, his style is unmistakable for its vivid imagination, bold line work, and sublime color palettes. Over his career, his work has included designing for major bands like Queens of the Stone Age, Radiohead, and Soundgarden, and creating the artwork for producer Danger Mouse's Grey Album.

In addition to his rock poster art, Hampton has branched into other mediums, including animation, comics, and illustrative work for a wide array of clients. His comics Twitch and Rat have garnered rave reviews, and his animated short The Jaded Monk was featured in the 2002 Seattle International Film Festival. He was also an original artist for the popular collectible card game Magic: The Gathering. In 2002, Hampton co-founded the artist collective Post Neo Explosionism with fellow artists Emek and Jermaine Rogers, creating highly-collected, dynamic poster art that has made a significant impact on music and pop art culture.
